About Mira

Hi! My name is Mira Capicchioni. I'm 16 years old and I live in Bend, Oregon. Growing up in Bend has surrounded me with so many different sports opportunities, and I feel like I've tried every single one... The only one I was moderately decent at, I found out was climbing. I started climbing 8 years ago and quickly fell in love with everything about it; the people, the traveling, my team, and so much more. I started competing when I was 9 years old, and I am now a 2 time National Champion, as well as have traveled to Arco, Italy for the Youth World Championships. As much as I love the competition aspect of climbing, I love climbing outside much more. All the places I travel to climb are gorgeous and they keep me coming back for more.

What gets you stoked?

Climbing, Mountain Biking, Snowboarding and really anything that gets me outside. I also love competing, it brings so much stoke and energy that I couldn't be happy without. Smith Rock is one of my favorite places and I'm out there as much as I can be. Some of the best climbing and so close to where I live. I never get bored of it, it gets me so stoked every time!


What does “genuine” mean to you?

Genuine to me is being yourself. Doing what makes you happy while also spreading that joy to others around you. being humble, and kind, and honest are all some of the best ways of being a genuine human.
